A quarter of students in London have a private tutor to assist them with schoolwork, new figures reveal.
Specialists warned parents spending money on additional help for his or her children’s large number could be widening the disparity between wealthy and poor. The figures in the Sutton Trust emphasize how fast the private tuition sector is expanding despite the downturn.
Twenty-five Percent of secondary students received private tuition before year compared with 19 percent this year. Kids in London were nearly two times as likely for private tuition as else where in the state. Nationwide, only 13% of students had a tutor before year.
